The name came about due to John Buckley, a Club GTi member and good friend. His nickname in the forces was Jabba and we all belonged to the Lincolnshire Hillbillies Club GTi region (late 80's/early 90's). Whilst on a trip around Europe dropping off at D&W on the way John purchased numberous tacky items and Paul Renshaw whilst ribbing him came up with the name of "JabbaSport". Both club region cars acquired JabbaSport stickers produced by Mr. Renshaw Due to it being such an unforgettable name with good memories of the fun years with John and the group we decided on forming the company to use the name "JabbaSport".  |
